How Car Talk Can Solve Your Car Problems

Car Talk is a radio show aired weekly by National Public Radio and hosted by a couple of wise guys who know almost everything there is to know about cars. Does your car shake violently when you tap on the brakes? What about that screeching noise that sounds like a dying cat every times you turn? How about that left turn signal, how come it never turns off automatically? Tom and Ray from the Car talk radio show can probably tell you.

If you have a problem or question about your car, consider calling in. The best thing you can do though is to be prepared. When you call the Car Talk show, have handy all of the information you can think of about your car. Generally, you will have to say more than it is an eighty something Ford. Know the make, model, and the year. Also have and understanding of your problem and be able to explain it or describe it.

For example, if you are having a problem with shifting your manual transmission. When you call the car radio show, tell them when you have the problem. Does it happen all the time? How about when the car is turned off, does that make it easier? What about shifting in reverse? How long has it been a problem? The more details you can remember, the better. The Car Talk guys offer a lot of advice to a lot of people and can usually help the caller pinpoint their problem.

Be prepared though. You might have to imitate the sounds that your car is making, and some people find that embarrassing. When people call car radio shows, they probably expect to talk about their cars. Car Talk on the other hand is a bit different. People call in for car talk and then find themselves being counseled in life, finances, and relationships.
